About This Masterclass
What you will be playing.
Connect the chords in a major key and practise inversions that keep your accompaniment in a comfortable register. The course separates chord-inversion lessons from diatonic-chord lessons so you can work on each skill and then combine them.
What you will practise
- Root position, first inversion and second inversion in the keys listed below.
- The major-key diatonic chord pattern and the relationship between chord numbers and note names.
- Moving between chords with less hand travel while keeping the harmony clear.
Before you start
Know the major-scale pattern and basic major and minor triads. Play each example slowly, then use a short progression from a worship song you are preparing.
